Maybe it's an early birthday present.
After all, I turn 36 in 2 months, why not?
I had an older 4 wheel version of it, but it was pretty basic.
Now, Brad's co-worker was kind enough to spend some time custom tweaking a 2 wheeler version for me.
Not only is it more sturdy, but he equipped it with mirrors, break lights, a head light, an old style horn, a water bottle attachment (with bottle included!) and since it's Easter... he added an easter basket full of goodies.
Brad brought it home the other day, and I was overjoyed.
I bet no other 35 year old has one like it!
About 6 days after my chemo infusion, I depend on this mode of transportation to get around, so I appreciate the 'pimped-out-look'.
After all, I didn't lose my sense of style!!
Check it out, and don't be jealous...

Oh Michelle, this was a pretty funny post :) I'm sorry you're needing one of these to get around but it sounds like you have some pretty awesome friends and family keeping your spirits up.
I had a feeling it was something for the house a real bicycle.. More I was thinking a real bicycle for some reason.. LOL. Glad to hear your spirits are up yet. How are you feeling today?
That is awesome! Especially the Easter basket! I am still sorry that you have to use it, but how cute.
That is one thoughtful gift! Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact. Hang in there, girlie.
Laura - thanks, I do have a pretty amazing cheering section :)
Tweets - I am feeling good now, I have about 10 days of feeling good left until we do the next chemo injection... so I'm going to enjoy a nice Easter with my family feeling well, yeay!
Mandi - LOL, it WAS awesome, hahah. And so thoughtful and funny at the same time... I'm thinking of you lots and can't wait to see how tomorrow goes for you.
The picture was a funny punchline. Great posting. I'm sorry you need this to get around, but you show an amazing sense of humor.
Pink - How in the world did I miss your comment?? Hehe.
Beth - thanks ... luckily I only need it for a few days out of the chemo cycle, but when I do, it's sure nice to have :)
you are just too freaking cool lady! bummer that these are your new wheels BUT it would be a big fat lie if i didn't say that i'm.....jealous:) you rock!
How thoughtful and pretty fun looking. Making the most of the days you need this help.
I wonder... If my father-in-law had as awesome a walker as you, would he use it? He's pretty stubborn - and very wobbly on his feet. We keep getting phone calls about him falling down. As you know, it's much better to use it than to fall!!!! Your family and friends are amazing, Michelle. Taking good care of you!
That is too cute! I was thinking it was a bike and was wondering how you were able to ride it.
Michelle,
Enjoy those days between chemo infusions when you are feeling decent. Love the post and photo of your new wheels. Here's to getting around however we must!
I love it ..
I broke down a few months back and got myself a rolator walker...might have to pimp mine up the next time I find I need to use it.
A very good friend/second mother of mine, "McCracken's Mom" told me about this blog, I spent a couple of hours on Sunday reading through it. My best friend has just been diagnosed with the same form of cancer as yours. She is just beginning the battle. Thank you for your honest on here, it has been so, so helpful for me to be able to see in advance the things that may come for her, so that I can be mentally prepared to help her through. Thank you!
Thats great to hear my friend. you enjoy your easter and i want to hear all about it.. I am still trying to talk Jeff into buying me an Easter basket..LOL.. I am a spoiled brat.. in my own ways..
Well, chemo has definitely not taken away your sense of humor... ;) This brings a whole new meaning to "pimp my ride!"
In all seriousness I am sad that you need something like that to get around, I had no idea how bad the side effects of chemo can be. I am so sorry that you are experiencing this.
Sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way for healing and strength. You can do this, though I sure as heck wish you didn't have to. Hang in there my friend.
Sweet! Hang in there. (I saw your comment on Uneasy Pink's blog)
Rock on
KOB
