Bald pics

As promised, here are some pictures of me bald.

Now no laughing!

I am told it'll come back...

Very purple!

This is my dog Jet, he is playing shy in front of the camera.

There we go, say "hello" Jet.

Oh, and keep the email addresses coming (in the comments) if you'd like me to include you when I go private on the blog. So far, each of you who've already left their emails, I got. Thanks.

You look beautiful! Now I think I get why my husband says I am just as pretty, because I think you really are just as pretty.

You look gorgeous, that radiant smile makes you just glow. Plus, isn't is awesome to be able to cut out all of the haircare stuff in the shower?! oh and: laura.k.slavin@gmail.com

You are a beautiful person with or without hair.. But i bet it feels nice to not have to worry about how to put it up this summer when its 90 degrees outside or what the celcius would be in Canada.. LOL..

Beautiful lady!! You know what? You look HEALTHY. You look like someone who is winning this crazy fight, and then some! Make sure you keep these photos where you can see them easily when your hair grows back and you are done with your treatments - whenever you catch yourself having a bad day, take a look at the photos. After all you've been through, you won't see a "chemo patient" staring back at you - you'll see a very powerful woman who is yelling "I am so incredibly strong, I can do anything, I can be anything, I can get through anything". You look FANTASTIC Michelle!!

Michelle,
You look lovely and your little dog is a cutey! I still haven't posted pictures of myself bald, so you are way ahead of me there! Maybe later... My hair is finally coming back, but still really short and wild. It is true, it's only hair and it does come back. Still it's not easy to lose it and I admire you for being so open. You look great!

Thanks you guys - I'm trying to rock it. I bought that crazy expensive wig and I've worn it maybe 10 times? Mostly it's au naturel...some people stare but most are ok about it.

Now that summer is close, I may have to put sunscreen on...weird thought.

Oh, no fair!!!! You're just as beautiful without hair as with!!!! Even if a couple of hairs are cut wrong I look bad. Thankfully, I don't really care anymore. I just want to be comfortable! Maybe after these hot flashes are done I'll give more of a hoot.

You constantly amaze me, Michelle. And I love to see you smiling. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers - we WILL meet one day!!!

you have a GORGEOUSLY round head!!! And it's so shiny from that blinding smile!!!! You look great!!! You should get a temp tattoo, like the kind you get wet on with water or a hena tattoo to freak everyone out!!!!

Keep it up!
Amy

Sayre - I was never a 'hair and makeup' kinda gal, so it wasn't as hard on me losing it as I suspect it can be for some people. And I gotta say, my armpits are as smooth as my 9 year olds and THAT I get a kick out of. I keep telling her maybe we'll grow armpit hair at the same time, she thinks I'm gross.

Kitty - Thank God it's round, right? LOL. I know, I totally should get a fake tattoo, the only problem is I have a real one on my neck already (which was always hidden by my hair) but now that I have no hair it is right 'up in your face' so to speak, so from behind I look pretty bad ass, haha... people would really start running the other way if I had one on my head too :)

You are fortunate that you have a pretty face and a nicely shaped head, besides, all eyes were probably on Jet, he is adorable!

I have been reading your blog for awhile. Some people should never have hair. You can see right thru to their soul when there is that much vulnerability. You look beautiful. Before you go private, would you be interested in telling your story on my site? Please check it out at www.hugsforstrength.com. If you are interested, please email me and we can talk more. Stay healthy and happy!

Just discovered your blog this morning. Really nicely done... :)

I kept a journal when I was going thru my adventure, but didn't share it with anyone. I think there's a great support system out there that I missed out on. I was diagnosed with BC at age 47 (and they had the nerve to tell me *I* was young!? flattery.)
Had single mastectomy and chemo. That's the short version.

Anyhoodles, 6 years later I'm here to tell the story! yay.

You have a radiant smile, and guess what? Your hair WILL come back!!

I hope you're enjoying the weekend...

I'm Gayle - nice to meet you!

Andrea - always saying the kindest things thank you...

Gayle - nice to 'meet you' too. Welcome. Good to hear you're 6 years out of it now and doing great!!! That's what I'm looking forward to as well.

You look so cute bald. I was the ugliest bald woman in history and I'm seriously not looking forward to doing it again! You look like you chose it deliberately!

I love your spirit. I'm a dog lover as well. Actually my blog this week is about my dog Molly, who is the epitome of a survivor and has been a great role model for me.

Please add me to your list. I'd like to receive your blog.

Genkicat - thanks for the email... put it on the list :) I also commented on your post earlier, I heard about the news story and immediately thought of you and how you viewed it.

Hey you know... this may just be your ticket to having the hair you always wanted and never had! Another friend of mine who had cancer always had pin straught hair and wanted curly. After her treatments were over and it grew back... guess what?! A head full of thick waves! Pretty cool! Very cute puppy too!

Oops- that last one was from Tammy by the way!

I am sorry that I have been MIA, at least when it comes to commenting here. As I shared in our recent email exchange, our life has been a whirlwind lately (for good, though stressful, reasons)! Anyway, please know that I am thinking of you and holding you close in my prayers. You and your bald head look beautiful and your doggy is adorable! I promise not to be a stranger and hope to slowly, but surely catch up on what is going on here with you and get back into the swing of reading and commenting more often again.
